Ensuring a Safe Environment

Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital recognizes the health concerns and impact that COVID-19 has taken on our communities. We remain open in order to provide the care and treatment you need and are taking every precaution possible in order to service you and your family. The priority of ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members is paramount and we are taking actions to safeguard those at our facility. All who enter our building will be asked to follow safety measures put in place.

SFSH is currently allowing one healthy visitor with each adult patient and up to two healthy parents with each minor child.

Due to the increase in COVID cases throughout the community, effective August 31st, 2021 all patients will be required to undergo preoperative COVID testing regardless of vaccination status. We ask that you be respectful of our screening process as this is in place to add to the safety of your visit. Please do not attend as a patient or visitor if you feel any of the following symptoms:

  • Cough/Shortness of Breath/Difficulty Breathing
  • Fever or Chills
  • Fatigue
  • Body or Headaches
  • Sore throat
  • Nausea, Vomiting, or Diarrhea
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Unusual congestion or runny nose

Should you have any questions, please contact Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital at 605-334-6730.

Thank you for your help in protecting the safety of our patients and the team members caring for them.
